For less than $1,500, you get a Class 3 e-bike that quickly reaches its 28 mph max speed, thanks to its powerful 750W motor that peaks at 1300W. Initially, the RipRacer was only available as a Class 2 ebike, but now you can choose between Class 2 and Class 3 models.
One of the standout characteristics of this bike is its compact design. It’s smaller than the rest of the brand’s models and can easily fit into an elevator, your apartment, or a large vehicle such as an SUV.

Juiced RipRacer Review: Big Power and Versatility in a Small Package
The Juiced RipRacer is a unique electric bike, a word infrequently used to describe new e-bikes. Its compact design, burly four-inch fat tires, rigid frame, and huge motor and battery mean it evades narrow classification.
As a result, it’s hard to recommend the RipRacer to a specific type of rider, as it doesn’t quite fit in the ‘commuter’ or ‘off-road’ categories. However, it is versatile and has more than enough power for most e-bikers, peaking at 1300W and achieving up to 55 miles of range.
The unusual combination of traits means there aren’t many easily comparable options. However, we think the Wing Bikes Freedom Fatty, Blix Dubbel, and Velowave Prado S are close enough in terms of spec and price ($1,300 to $2,000), despite their significant differences. Each bike has 4″ fat tires on 20″ wheels, a compact frame, and a solid range.
The Juiced RipRacer, with its distinctive compact design and powerful performance, defies traditional e-bike categorization, offering unparalleled versatility, though not without its nuances for potential commuters.
The Prado S and Dubbel have more utility, and the Freedom Fatty is lighter and more agile, but none of these options has the same exciting power and acceleration as the RipRacer.
This bike could be a good option for you if you have limited storage space at home, want a comfortable and robust bike that’s simple to maintain or need a cheap machine that can handle most terrain you encounter.

A Compact Frame With Basic Integration and Upright Geometry

The Prado S (77 lb) and Dubbel (70 lb) have longer frames designed for cargo-carrying utility.
The RipRacer from Juiced Bikes emphasizes maneuverability and an upright ride, but its design prioritizes function over aesthetic integration of electronics.
Juiced Bikes is one of the few brands that doesn’t integrate its electronics into the frame. This means bikes aren’t as aesthetically appealing, but it makes sense, given they use huge 52V batteries on each model. Integrating these batteries would require enormous tubing and cause unnecessary engineering complexity.
Finally, the low payload capacity of just 275 lb is worth mentioning. While this bike isn’t designed to carry cargo, it is rear rack compatible, so a higher capacity would be appreciated. If you want to carry cargo, the Dubbel and Prado S can support 400 lb and 330 lb, respectively.
Impressive Power and Range
The Juiced RipRacer is a 750W e-bike designed for riding at high speeds. With a motor that peaks at 1300W and a cheap cadence sensor, this bike is best for experienced riders. Fast, jerky acceleration and aggressive power output can quickly overwhelm new or inexperienced e-bikers.
The 52V system means the RipRacer quickly reaches its top speed of 28 mph. The throttle also packs plenty of punch and acceleration, getting you up to the 20mph limit in just a few seconds.
An 811 Wh battery sounds like a lot of juice and looks bulky on the frame. However, with so much power available from the high-voltage system, the battery capacity drains surprisingly quickly. On the lowest PAS levels, this bike can achieve up to 55 miles of range, which is still more than enough for most riders.
The RipRacer easily out-muscles the Wing Freedom Fatty and Blix Dubbel but has a similar sustained and peak power to the Prado S (750W, 1275W).
Impressively, the RipRacer has the highest max range, despite being the cheapest of the four.
A Minimalist Rigid Design
Where the Juiced RipRacer e-bike falls short is its basic build kit. This minimalist, low-maintenance design may appeal to some buyers, but it limits its functionality. Adding a rack and fenders to make this bike commuter-friendly will set you back $179.
Another potential drawback to this bike is the single-speed drivetrain. If you like to pedal, you should consider an e-bike with multiple speeds. Likewise, the lack of suspension will deter riders who like buttery smooth riding.
Two final inclusions worth mentioning are the bright LED lights (1050-lumen headlight) and hydraulic disc brakes, which are necessary to stop this heavy, powerful bike safely.

The Juiced RipRacer Class 3 is a compelling option in a competitive fat-tire e-bike category.
It offers huge power, solid riding range, mixed-terrain capability, and decent comfort in a compact package. In addition, it’s affordable, so it undoubtedly earns a ‘ride’ verdict from us.
That said, if you want a similar-style fat bike with better urban functionality, you’ll likely appreciate the fully-equipped Prado S or Blix Dubbel. Alternatively, if you want a more aesthetic bike and you aren’t concerned about power, consider the Wing Freedom Fatty.
